Use our google maps based tool to do restaurant inspection searches for all 24,666 restaurants in New York City. You can search by type of restaurant, by name, location, and filter by inspection grade.
NYC Health Ratings is now available for Android users. Download it here. All the search functionality available on this site is now available for Android with the ease of location based searches. Search results default to your current location determined by your phones network connection. You can override this by entering an address, zip code or neighborhood name which is then geocoded to find its latitude and longitude. When searching, a list of results ranked by distance and name are presented. You can view the detailed results here or click on a restaurant and it will take you to its position on the map. Once there you can view it and share it with friends.
The newest version includes Foursquare integration and an enhanced user interface. You can check in to a restaurant and share the detailed restaurant inspection results as a tip or shout it to your friends. Future enhancements will be a redesigned user interface to take advantage of newer user interface patterns in Android that are optimized for tablets.
An iPhone version is currently in development.
For our browse feature all restaurants are indexed by borough and neighborhood. Each neighborhood in the city has its own neighborhood page where local residents can easily keep tabs on what is happening in their neighborhood. We provide trending statistics for each neighborhood to see how restaurants are fairing from week to week. In addition to this we also provide the ability to filter restaurants by cuisine type and grade type.
Stats stats and more stats. The borough page now contains aggregate trending graphs for the five boroughs. We're currently tracking scores, grades and critical violations. This eventually will be extend to the borough pages as well. Where individual neighborhoods can be compared.
Lastly My Restaurants. Now you can save your favorite restaurants for easy access! Just create an account and click add to favorites when viewing a restaurant. It's easy, you can create an account and log in with your facebook account in one click.
